Pre-Preparatory & Preparatory

An application form must be completed in full and returned to:

Our Prep School office at 40 Derby Avenue, Springs Extension, Springs with all supporting documentation (as requested on the application form), including the non-refundable application fee of R250.

The application fee must be paid once the office has received the application documents.
On receipt of your application our office will do an employment and credit check on both parents/ guardians’.
An entrance assessment will be booked. This is not an ‘entrance test’, it is an English and Mathematics proficiency test to see if the applicant will cope with the work that is covered by the grade group. These tests are booked after school to avoid interruptions in the class rooms during the day and take between 45 minutes to an hour to complete and A 50% deposit id due on the booking of the entrance assessment.
The assessing teacher and Head of Department, in that phase, will mark and discuss the results and communicate the results to the parents / guardians’.
Pre-Preparatory applicants, applying for Grade RR and Grade R, are also required to go through an entrance assessment.
Applicants applying for the Pre-Preparatory must be fully potty trained.
The application fee must be paid once the office has received the application documents.

Acceptance of Pupils

Preference will be given to siblings and thereafter place will be awarded according to date of receipt of the application form. However, in the Pre-Preparatory school, ‘first come first served’ policy applies.

On the recommendation of the Head of the Department, an applicant is accepted and placed on the waiting list until a deposit has been paid. Until a deposit has been paid and an Enrollment Contract is received by our office.
